5 Tips For Working From Home

With so many of us working from home, we could all use some help with how to optimise productivity, especially fr those of us who aren’t used to it. So here’s some little tips on how to get the most out of your work day from the comfort of your own home!


  1. Get dressed and ready for the day! 

It’s so easy to get stuck in pyjama land when working from home, so it’s important to stick to your morning routine as much as possible. This means getting dressed and ready as you would normally, putting you in the right mind frame to work and increasing motivation.


2. Keep personal and work life separate.

It can be difficult to set up boundaries when working from home, so it’s a good idea to keep certain rooms off limits while you’re working. Sadly, this means not working from your bed while watching Netflix!

3. Set real working hours.

This means getting up at your usual time, and making sure to stop working at a reasonable hour at the end of the day. Over working yourself or working too soon before bed can greatly affect your sleeping pattern and start you on a slippery slope!


4. Take regular breaks.

Just like in the office, it’s important to come away from your screen regularly. Not only is this good for protecting your eyes, but it also helps to clear your mind and maintain focus.


5. Get some fresh air

Make sure you get yourself in the garden or out for your daily walk, if you’re not self isolating. Fresh air does wonders for the brain, giving you a boost of energy and alertness, and will also stop you from getting cabin fever!
